Incorporating the principles of design, as well as, elements of art history, students will learn a variety of techniques using various mediums of drawing, painting, collage, printing, mixed media and more. This class is taught by a New York State certified art teacher.

Teen/Tween Wheel Throwing
Ages 12-16
Instructor Hannah Zeigler
Learn to create pottery on the wheel in this class for beginners. Master each step from wedging the clay, centering it on the wheel, and shaping it into a form, to controlling the drying process, trimming, and glazing to obtain a finished functional work of pottery. Students will learn from demonstrations, discussions, pictures, and hands on instruction with the teacher. *Materials fees included in class tuition.

Teen Sculpture
Ages 12-16
In this handbulding with clay class, learn to make almost anything from figures, animals, and candle holders to abstract sculpture. Beginner projects teach the basic building techniques of coil, pinch, and slab construction with joining, shaping, texturing, and carving. When works are ready, enjoy learning glazing techniques including dipping, painting and using wax resist to finish your unique pieces.

Surface Design/Style & Art
Instructor Jackie Cicogna
This class is an initiation to fashion design! Taught by local designer Jackie Cicogna, this class focuses on fashion, and design as wearable art. Together we will create items you can wear or share, including a screen printed t-shirt and a painted tote bag. Learn new art techniques while creating one-of-a-kind items.

Teen High School Art Portfolio
Are you considering majoring in art at college? Use this class to jump start your portfolio for college admissions. Whether you are a junior just starting to put together your portfolio or a senior getting ready for applications and interviews, we can help you. This teen intensive class provides personal feedback and counseling on your portfolio, as well as help you set college portfolio goals, and give you time and studio space to work. This class is taught by a New York State certified art teacher.
New students are welcome to (but not necessary) a one-hour consultation for a small fee. $60
One-hour consultation includes
~A one-hour one-on-one consultation and review of the student’s existing portfolio
~A review of college program choices and requirements/deadlines,
~Feedback regarding strengths and areas of opportunity within the portfolio
~Studio goals to fill in any missing gaps within the portfolio
