Wheel Throwing
Learn to create pottery on the wheel in this class for beginners. Learn each step from wedging the clay, centering it on the wheel, and shaping it into a form, to controlling the drying process, trimming, and glazing to obtain a finished functional work of pottery. Students will learn from demonstrations, discussions, pictures, and hands on instruction with the teacher. Class comes with 2 hours a week of studio time.
This class does not include firing fees.

Beginner and Intermediate Wheel Throwing
Take your work to the next level in this class designed for students with a foundation in wheel throwing. Explore different forms and advanced techniques for creating and altering them. Instructor will demonstrate a variety of advanced techniques and forms from creating lids & handles, to throwing a variety of vases, bowls, mugs, plates, or altered forms. Class comes with 2 hours a week of studio time.
Tuesdays class is for beginners that have tried the wheel before.

Open Pottery Class
This is a great class for advanced potters and hand builders to work on their own art and have the expertise of a teacher available during this 3 hour open pottery class. Class comes with 2 hours a week of studio time.

Clay Sculpture for all levels
This class is perfect for the beginner or advanced student alike. Come make a variety of projects as you learn to build with this versatile material. Clay is soft and
can be molded with your hands into a wide variety of forms from functional mugs and bowls to sculpture of all kinds. Projects range from flowers to figures, animals, & candle holders to abstract sculpture. Our facilities include several work tables, clay, and glazes and under-glazes. Beginner projects teach the basic building techniques of coil, pinch, and slab construction with joining, shaping, texturing, and carving. When works are ready, enjoy learning glazing techniques including dipping, painting, sgraffito, and using wax resist. Class comes with 2 hours a week of studio time.
