Drawing with Soft Pastels

Soft Pastel is a beautiful and tactile medium. In this class, you will learn how to blend and render texture, how to compose a painting, and how to use light and dark to apply layers on layers of paint to obtain a luxurious, incredibly colorful painting. Each student can work on their own subject matter and will receive individual instruction tailored to their own experience. It is for all levels from beginner to advanced students.

Portrait Class
Instructor Kinga Witkor
Lessons will focus on learning techniques to create realistic and expressive portraits. Using any medium you wish to work with, students will master their skills and find all the answers they are looking for. We will work in proportions, shading to achieve 3-dimension, color and composition. Class will provide all the fundamentals for an art portrait that addresses all levels from the beginner to the advanced artist.

Painting Classes With Sarah

There are many approaches to painting. The fundamentals or “elements” of art are a collection of foundational groundwork to take from in order to create the right approach for you. Various painting approaches and techniques will be covered in this all-levels class and each student will be individually instructed. This is the perfect class for anyone who wants to learn the fundamentals of painting to the more experienced painter who needs guidance and the expertise of the teacher.

Fundamentals of Drawing- All Levels

We’ll explore the basics of light and shadow, tonal-value and perspective in this class designed for the true beginner as well as the experienced artist wanting to brush up on the fundamentals. Watercolor Class All Levels
Instructor Maria Kaprielian
All levels of watercolorists are invited to participate in this class. Students are asked to provide their own reference materials, so this is the perfect class to learn how to paint that special work of art you’ve always wanted to create! Individualized attention by the instructor will help you achieve a satisfying composition and underlying drawing, recognize tonal values, mix eye-pleasing colors and find the correct water-to-paint ratio to achieve the hard and soft edges your painting needs. Weekly critiques will be conducted in a friendly, collegial atmosphere.

Private Art Lessons
