On each student’s own project, she will give you an appropriate depth of information about color, shading, perspective and style. Printmaking At Railyard! Monotype & Intaglio

If you can push paint around with a brush then you can make unique one of a kind prints! The class will first focus on monotype printmaking using Akua inks and water soluble crayons. Midway through the session we will begin to use a non-toxic technique to make etchings. These can be printed on their own or combined with monotype. Anthony will guide each artist through the plate preparation process and the printing. All printmaking materials used are non-toxic with dishwashing detergent used for clean up at the end of class. The instructor will provide all materials. Materials fee is $45 paid in cash or check to the Instructor.

Beginner Art Journaling/Mixed Media
Did you ever want it all!? You can create with it all in this fun and easy class for creative people of all levels! You can use stencils and stamps or free hand as you like. Learn the basics of a variety of art materials and how to layer and combine them to create unique works. Each class focuses on a new technique and new combination of media. Beginner techniques for creating with gel medium from stencils to free-form, through collage from paper and fabric to objects, with paint from washes to pouring and texturing paint, and more will be introduced and explored. The sky is the limit in this fun creative class. Students can work on individual pieces and / or in an art journal. Beginners welcome! No drawing or painting skills necessary. Supplies provided for the first class. Students are also welcome to bring any art supplies they are interested in working with. Instructor will discuss additional project specific supplies in class. In this class you will learn basic photography skills and techniques, including manual settings, understanding the relationship between light and shadow, composition and some basic posing. The goal is to give you confidence and control when using your DSLR.
Photography II is the continuation of Photography I and will build upon what you have learned in the first session.
