Painting All Levels All Mediums

Join Sarah this summer in Railyard Arts outdoor painting class!  This class is designed for students to explore any medium they would like to work with under the guidance of an experienced painting instructor.  This is the perfect class for anyone who wants to learn the fundamentals of painting to the more experienced painter who needs guidance and the expertise of the teacher.  Railyard Arts supplies easels and individual tables.

Fundamentals of Drawing – Beginner and Intermediate

Instructor Maria Kaprielian

A drawing is only as good as its composition! While reviewing the basics of light and shadow, tonal-value and perspective, in this class we will also explore more advanced techniques such as modifying scale and using texture, pattern and color to add interest to your work.

Session 2

MATERIALS LIST FOR DRAWING
The basics for this drawing class include a 2B pencil, a manual sharpener, a pad of 9 x 12 inch paper and an eraser. Good, sturdy paper (80 lb) and a selection of quality pencils, varying in hardness from 4H to 6B, makes drafting even more satisfying and are recommended. Additional materials should include a kneaded eraser, hard white eraser and a metal ruler.
