Beaded Jewelry:

Peyote Stitch and Beyond

Instructor: Tyra Abrams

Learn the art of beading with a peyote stitch & more techniques to create a ring, bracelet and more in this special Winter mini-session. Starting out in this course we will learn:
-Uneven peyote stich
-How to bead a pattern
-How to weave a beaded bracelet with glass crystals
-How to attach a clasp to your bracelet.

*Please note that materials will be provided: there is a $10 materials fee to be paid to the instructor at the beginning of each session.

Get Wired!

Instructor: Marie Elliott of Uniquely Twisted By ME

Learn the basics of working with wire while creating simple pieces of jewelry. Participants will use a variety of wire, beads and findings to make a selection of earrings, rings and bracelets during this 4-week long session.

Instructor will provide: necessary tools, assorted beads and findings.

Materials Fee: $35

Participants will each receive a kit containing the necessary wires and jump rings to complete each project, with extra for additional practice and future projects. Wire will be silver plated with a copper core.

Additionally, participants will need to bring the following beads to the first class (beads can be purchased at Michael’s or JoAnn Fabrics):
– 2 strands of 6mm round beads (to be used in 2 different bracelets, they do not need to coordinate with each other; you will need approximately 15 of each color; extras can be used to make matching earrings.
– 1 strand of 8mm round beads (for earrings)
– 1 strand of flat rectangular or oval beads, ea. approx ¾” – 1in long (for earrings)
